A sneak peek of the first womenwear trends from the Fall/Winter 2019/2020 fashion shows

Fashion shows and presentations have already started, therefore some informations regarding the fall/winter collections of 2019/202 have started coming out. Milan, Parism London and New York, fashion capitals, already have a big influence on the style of the fashion season to come.

When talking about the fall/winter collections of 2019/2020, however, everything still seems possible. The 90's are now a must, but there's also a strong comeback of the style from the 70's and 80's, that are back in fashion in different fields.

Checkered patterns seem to be taking the spot of summery ones, however floral and animal patterns will not disappear, they'll simply be adapted to the new season. Also glitters, grunge style and power dressing, a comeback of 40's inspired dresses, leather, big boots and large volume. Still a big chaos, from which we can get a few, yet precise, hints for the future.

The style from the 70's is back in style thanks to HediSlimane and Burberry, with a feminine, almost regal style, but adventurous at the same time. On the other hand, showy dresses as well can be seen on the catwalks: vivacious, bright colours (such as vibrant or fluo pink), particular styles (balloon, voluminous) or reflective effects perfect for parties. Everything from brands like Marine Serre, Marios or Saint Laurent.

A more rigorous style is still very present, with militar jackets, camo patterns, workwear style, everything with the clean cuts by MiuMiu, Prata or Stella McCartney. All of this, still doesn't abandon a feminine style, a new trend that imposes itself year after year: femme fatale dresses, mini dresses with lace, ruffles, feathers and transparencies, as well as long delicate dresses, mostly by Valentino, Blumarine or Phylosophy.

Femininity and showiness meet each other in a trend that can be predicted for the next months, a romantic style. Puffy, scenographic dresses made with tulle that makes them into true work of arts. Flowers, bows, flounces, ruffles, hearts, trains and everything which makes you think of a romantic woman, together with colours like red and pink. This time, through the art of Alexander McQueen or Molly Goddard.
