Advertising campaigns for the Fall/Winter collection  of 2019/2020, the comeback of Supermodels

We're in august, but the fashion wolrd is already in motion. The comeback of Supermodels, like Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss, has opened up the season of catwalks for the next collection. The fall/winter collection 2019/2020.

Cities, physical stores, fashion websites, at this point every advertising space is dedicated to the 2019/2020 fall/winter fashion collections. Banners, videos, billboards that show models wearing the latest fashion clothes and everything that will appear or has to appear next season. 

If working as an advertiser is as close as it gets to being an artist in the marketing and communication world, in the fashion field it is a burning truth. Actual moving paintings move on catwalks and get captured to sell clothes that, often, are a piece of art themselves. 

Obviously, the hardest part is choosing the right model for a specific piece of clothing. Which is the same exact problem that men and women have when choosing an article of clothing, whether it is by Gucci or Patrizia Pepe or Liu Jo or whatever other brand might cross your mind. 

The question, thus, goes from being "does this dress suit me? Will it be right for this event?" to being " Will this supermodel be able to portray the idea that the stylist wants his works to convey?"

And here is where supermodels come into play. True stars such as Naomi Campbell or Kate Moss, actual goddesses of the field, that represent the best of the best. More specifically, Naomi is working as a testimonial for Valentino Gravani and Kate for Giorgio Armani. 

The tendency to go for people already famous in the fashion field had already started spreading around during february of 2019, with the Spring/Summer collection, but it's now going on, bringing back onto the scene other Supermodels. Sasha Pivivarova and Amber Valletta, for example, are the faces of Giada and Etro. MiuMiu on the other hand, has chosen Hailey Rhode Bieber. 

It's not just an old trend being revisited, but it's about the comeback of modernity and the creation of a more artistic and invested approach to fashion. That will, without a doubt, involve every single fashion house, bringing a touch of life into the new Fall/Winter 2019/2020 collections.
