GREEN CARPET FASHION AWARDS OF 2019
The Green Carpet Fashion Awards of 2019 were held at the end of September 2019 at La Scala in Milan, which had as its guests dozens of national and international stars, welcomed in the Scala’s Square which for the occasion was turned into a vineyard. An incredible installation wanted by Hamish Bowels, creative director, as an homage to the 500th anniversary of Leonardo Da Vinci.
The evening was hosted by the top models AdultAkech and JonKortajarena who welcomed many fashion stars: Amber Valletta, Barbara Palvin, Isabeli Fontana, Jasmine Sanders, Elisa Sednaoui, Toni Garn, IzabelGoulart, Alessandra Ambrosio, Elsa Hosk and many more
The entertainment world, of course, didn’t disappoint either, even though this year the number of international stars was lower, with just Colin and Livia Firth, ShaileneWoodley e Derek Blasberg. The red carpet was in fact dominated by italian stars: Michelle Hunziker, KasiaSmutniak, Simona Ventura, Amanda Lear, Levante, Caterina Balivo, Stefania Rocca and Sophia Loren, who was there with Valentino Garavani.
The Green Carpet Fashion Awards, now onto their 3rd edition, are a prize dedicated to all thos stars who stand up for echology and susteinability, in fact the statuette itself is made of “ethical gold”. An extremely important topic, especially these days, with the movement Fridays For Future.
This also brings the fashion world closer to a more sustainable world with more rights for the workers. As a matter of fact, as it was declared in the presentation conference:
“The Green Carpet’s aim is to show how fashion and luxury can change direction, going further away from a market that nowadays, between clothing and shoes, is responsible for 8% of the world’s gas emissions, and from a textile industry that exagerates the rate of the emissions due to transportations via plane and via sea.”
But what are the Awars and who did they go to? Here are the winners:
The GCFA Visionary Award: François-Henri Pinault, AD Keringe president of GroupeArtémis.
