Herno: outerwear history

Cold, rainy winters, and warm summers refreshed by rainstorms allow a luxuriant vegetation to grow on this land, and they require adequate clothing. The young Mareni opens up a raincoat factory, and thanks to his military experience he finds ingenious ways to make fabrics waterproof, like using castor oil, a rare good that he has access to. Once he understood he could make room for more technically evolved outerwear, Giuseppe Marenzi thought of taking the big step: opening up his own agency.

From there on out there was a wild increment in quality and importance, gained without the help of advertising campaigns, only pursuing a quality and savoir-faire phylosophy. Herno’s keywords are: passion and devotion, courage and innovation, research and craftsmenship, mixed with the ethic principles of respect for people and care for places. This is Herno’s phylosophy, that gives substance and shape to an all-italian excellence.
