Summer, compared to Winter, allows a much higher inspiration from the point of view of clothing, as they can be in more colours and, also, they could have many more details.
What will be the new colour combinations in this 2019? What will be the patterns on trend? Here are some advices on the colours and decorations of the clothes that will be available on the market in this spring / summer 2019.
Spotted and zebra stripes patterns, in many variations, are strongly coming back imposing themselves as not only a decorative detail but as dominant motifs. From this point of view, already in the way, Gucci proposes a classic-looking animalier pattern, Roberto Cavalli, stronger coloured patterns, and Burberry that, with the help of Riccardo Tisci, introduces the "bambi" alike pattern.
A pattern mix is widely used by brands such as Etro, Dries Van Noten and Versace. The pattern mix is in combination that seems to be infinite. Floral, striped, polka dots, geometric shapes and so on and so forth, proposing always different and unique mixtures.
Proenza Schouler and MSGM, instead, decided to make a jump directly in the '70s and bring back to life the "do it yourself" effect pattern, in very bright colours such as pink, blue or orange.
In addition to the other patterns, as shown by Celine and Dolce & Gabbana, polka dots are also coming back into fashion, as a decorative motif, especially in black, white, chocolate and purple colours.
Giorgio Armani and Fendi, in addition to a floral pattern, propose decorations with embroidered details, much richer and more present than in the past.
The red colour has dominated fashion for several seasons now, but Balenciaga, Simone Rocha and Emilia Wickstead have decided to turn it into a strawberry red and make it a must have in this spring / summer 2019.
Dior and Jil Sander, instead, have chosen to focus on neutral colours such as beige, taupe or hazelnut, variations of brown perfect for any occasion.
Off-White and Roksanda Ilinčić have decided to completely exaggerate with the colour concept for this spring / summer and focus on fluorescent colours for their clothes: yellow, pink and green.
Finally, with a return to normality, Marco de Vincenzo and Alberta Ferretti, like many other fashion brands, have decided to focus even more on pastel colours, stronger and more incisive than in the past.
